This early 20th century US History print titled “Migrant Mother’ features Florence Thompson surrounded by her children. The objective of this print is to project the plight of poorly paid pea pickers in California during the Great Depression as a way of garnering support for the US Government’s initiative to provide help to the economically poor sections of society.
